 Big Changes at Spire Press 
Beginning in Fall 2006, the literary journal SPIRE will be discontinued in favor of literary publishing of book titles only. There is a remarkable dearth of book publishing opportunities for poets and literary fiction authors, especially by publishing houses who actively seek to enhance the author’s career through solicitation or reviews, generating publicity, arranging book signings and readings, and funding advertising. We seek to provide these opportunities for as many lucky writers as our funding will allow.
All submissions to the journal will be returned unread.
