Open Reading Period Closed

The open reading is now closed. The reading period will open again August 1, 2008 Please see the contests page for the current contest deadline.

Samples of up to 30 pages of literary fiction or creative nonfiction or 10 poems may be submitted in August only for book or chapbook consideration.

There is no guarantee that any manuscript will be chosen. Please include a short bio and publication list. While the contests are judged blindly and publication is guaranteed for the winner, the open period considers the marketability of the submission and publication history. Proposed chapbooks have a better chance of acceptance than full-length books. Novels will not be considered.

Call for Anthology Submissions Rescinded

We regretfully report that our anticipated anthology about class in America has been cancelled due to lack of quality submissions relevant to the theme. While we had a few submissions that we enjoyed very much, unfortunately there were not enough from which to create an entire collection. Sincere thanks to everyone who participated.
