The reading period will open August 1, 2010 and close August 31, 2010 (postmark). Please see the contests page for the current contest deadline.

Samples of up to 20 pages of literary fiction or creative nonfiction or 10 poems may be submitted in August only for book or chapbook consideration.

There is no guarantee that any manuscript will be chosen. Please include a short biography and publication list. While the contests are judged blindly and publication is guaranteed for the winner, the open period considers the marketability of the submission and publication history. Proposed chapbooks have a better chance of acceptance than full-length books. Novels will not be considered.
