Praise for The Faith of Leaping
"Anthony Russell White is a seeker of truth and knowledge. His work is spiritual yet grounded in the everyday. He's a poet who is able to experiment successfully with both form and language. The Faith of Leaping is a collection of poems about the life of the spirit, about doubt but also about hope and belief. This is a leap well-worth taking!"
Susan Terris, author of Natural Defenses and Contrariwise
"In The Faith of Leaping, White's poetry often comes to you on a slant and keeps you off balance. Twists and turns carry you forward to, often, a surprising curl along the way. Loss, accidents, connections and conjectures break each poem open to demand your attention. Take nothing for granted here, as White explores the poem, the subject, the interior, and the external He brings delightful discoveries and he makes you think. Enjoy the ride!”
CB Follett, author of And Freddie was my Darling and Hold and Release
“I don’t know which part of the solar system White gets his poems, but I want to go there and get some myself. …each one you read, it makes you feel like you owe him ten bucks. …Hold onto your pantlegs, dudes and dudettes—we’re about to fall out of orbit.”
Daniel Nester, Contest Judge for Falling Out of Orbit, 2006
